AI Overview

The passage where Jesus is asked why he speaks in parables is in Matthew 13:10. After Jesus tells the parable of the sower, his disciples ask him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?". Jesus explains that it is because some people have been given the insight to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, while others have not.

The disciples' question: The disciples ask Jesus privately why he speaks to the crowds in parables, as recorded in Matthew 13:10.

Jesus's response: Jesus explains that it is because to his disciples, "it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given" (Matthew 13:11).

I hope that you all don't get offended, but I feel that God is asking me to teach on a subject which is hardly spoken about in the "Modern Church."

Let me apologize now, because I realize that this is a "very touchy subject," among the Clergy.

Nonetheless, unless it is spoken about now, how is this next generation of "Spirit Filled," clergy ever going to learn about it?

Think on these things, won't cha?

Well, after giving it hours of thought, I just don't have a clue as to how I can properly teach on the subject.

Nevertheless, thank God for the Holy Ghost who will teach us in all things.

You see, he told me that maybe I should just tell a parable, as Jesus did to inform the Pharisees?

Well, let me begin....

Once, there was a young man who had just graduated from Bible College or Semitary, I can't recall exactly. Anyways, for months the man submitted his resume to church after church with absolutely no results.

Finally, he heard about a medium sized church in the middle of California. I believe it was somewhere around Sacramento, nonetheless, it was at the bottom of some mountain chain, I do recall that.

Well, the man checked into it, and it seemed as the "Perfect opportunity," for some newbie Pastor wanting to devote his entire life to Jesus Christ and the ministry. The pay was excellent, he was offered a great 'Parsonage,' in the middle of town with plenty of room for his family of four. Lastly, the church had even bought a brand-new Cadillac SUV, for the lucky soul who was to become the next "Spiritual Leader," of this community of Charismatic's.

So, after having moved in and getting his family settled, the man began with his Sunday messages. Well, he wasn't sure, but it seemed as if every time he preached there was an "air," of uncomfortableness about the church.

I mean, nothing major, but he just couldn't put his hand on the problem. In order to alleviate the 'feeling,' he changed the midweek service to a Bible Study where his messages were not the topic of focus. He told the congregation that "He wished for them to become 'gospel preachers,' in their own right."

Well, this worked for a while, yet nevertheless, the more Sundays that he preached his heart out, the more that the congregation seemed to draw back from his messages. Mostly, which were spoken about "Love."

So now, in about his fifth month he was called into a "Board Meeting," by the Trustees of the Church.

Well, to make a long story short, they basically told him that they had all voted to send a petition to the governor of the State in order for him to pardon a State Prisoner who had been convicted of kidnapping and burying twenty-six children alive.

Next, they informed him that "This congregation leans 'LEFT,' and if he knew what was best for him then he ought to quit giving those %^&!@#$% sermons on "Love."

Then, they presented to him a plan which the "Board," had already approved for a "Home for the Trans Sexual Children, in the middle of their treatments, and an El which would be built as an add on for any new children who would wish to follow their brothers and sisters of the leftist "Faith, "and who already resided in the same home.

So anyway, the Preacher came home that night a little confused, so he shared his confusion with his wife.

Nevertheless, his wife who had graduated a little ahead of him and was a tad smarter in "spiritual matters," (let's be honest, Okay?) suggested that he go back and to study all of his former class notes and to see if he could find any advice whatsoever in dealing with a contentious or obstinate "Board of Trustees."

The first class notes which he went through like a fine-tooth comb was from his "Old and New Survey of the Bible," classes. Unfortunately, he couldn't find anything on the subject.

Next, he looked at his notes from, "Systematic Theology," and "Hermeneutics," but again there was nothing.

Then he eyed a folder that stated, "Doctrine of God," but again nothing dealing or suggesting that "Boards," even exist in the modern-day church.

"Well, that's strange, he thought, as they are one of the most integral parts of the 'Church,' as we know it."

Lastly, after gleaning a few other Theological Subject notes, he just had a few other notebooks on some of his other "electives," on which he had chosen in order to fill his degree requirements.

The first one he gleaned was "The five most important Social Media Organizations to help your church to be successful. Nonetheless, he couldn't find one thing pertaining to "Church Boards."

He followed that by grabbing his notes on, "Worship Dancing, for both men and women."

Followed by a second worship class stapled to his "Dance 301 class," entitled "Three easy steps to twirl the 'cloak' in modern 'Praise and Worship.'" Or aka, subtitle, "How to make your cape come alive during worship."

Well, after coming back with absolutely no teaching on "Church Boards," he contacted his old school in the Midwest.

Nevertheless, even the librarians were 'stunned,' as the subject seemed to be considered "Taboo," in modern Charismatic Churches, right along with the Mega Churches, the Pentecostal churches, the Baptist Churches, ETC. ETC, ETC.

So, anyway, although this "Parable," has nothing to do with a Samaritan, a Pharisee, a lost coin, or the younger of two boys who both had clashes with their father, I believe that if Jesus were here today.....who Knows, perhaps he would have read it to someone or spoke it?

What do you think?

Just out of curiosity, do you believe that the church ought to be teaching on subjects as "Taboo," as this, or would the church be better off sticking to the important issues, such as "Modern Charismatic Dance," during 'worship' or perhaps even

"The one hundred different reasons, as to why the "Tithe," ought to be preached "legalistically" to the people of God."
